Abstract

The panel will take a contemporary look at ICAPS-related technologies for industry and society. Beyond the latest methods, it will also consider their impact on startup culture (building unicorns, i.e. companies with >= $1B valuation), jobs of the future (workforce), and GenerativeAI.

Airbus AI Research

Dr. Florent Teichteil-Königsbuch is a AI Senior Scientist and Technical Expert at Airbus AI Research in Toulouse (France), applying AI decision-making research and advising the business on promising technologies to improve manufacturing and in-service operations of aircraft, helicopters and satellites.


University of Huddersfield

Dr. Mauro Vallati is Professor of AI at the University of Huddersfield, and shareholder and collaborator of Simplifai Systems ltd, working on the design and development of AI-based traffic signal control approaches.


IBM T.J. Watson Research Center

Dr. Shirin Shorabi is a principal research scientist and research manager at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. She is an ACM and AAAI senior member. She is a member of ICAPS executive council and also serves as the diversity and inclusion chair.


Levio Consulting

Dr. Philipe Bellefeuille is a Senior AI Advisor and Partner at Levio Consulting leading AI projects in aerospace, such as the development of the AI for the next generation Canadarm in partnership with MDA.


AI Institute at University of South Carolina

Dr. Biplav Srivastava is a Professor at the AI Institute at University of South Carolina where his group is working on neuro-symbolic methods for sequential decision making, AI trust and societal applications.
